The Mystic Highland Games has evolved from two-decades-old competition in Highland dancing and piping produced by the Scottish Cultural Organization of the Triangle (SCOT), a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering Scottish culture in the Carolinas. Proceeds from these events goes to support scholarships in the Scottish arts.
